CuraTech & REVITA win Diabetes Australia Advancement Prize

CuraTech and REVITA have been awarded a $50,000 Advancement Prize in the inaugural Diabetes Australia Grand Innovation Challenge 2026.

The national challenge was established to identify and accelerate promising Australian innovations with the potential to improve the lives of people affected by diabetes. CuraTech was selected as one of ten finalists and invited to present REVITA to an expert judging panel, before being named one of six prize recipients.

REVITA is an Australian-produced human placental membrane allograft used by healthcare professionals in the management of difficult-to-heal wounds. CuraTech’s submission focused on its potential role in addressing diabetic foot ulcers—a serious and costly complication of diabetes that affects an estimated 50,000 Australians each year.

The $50,000 prize will help CuraTech build the clinical and health-economic evidence needed to support broader understanding, adoption and future access to REVITA.

This recognition marks an important milestone for CuraTech and our ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for people living with difficult-to-heal wounds.
