CuraTech nominated Finalist in the Diabetes Australia Grand Innovation Challenge 2026

22 June 2026

We are incredibly proud that CuraTech and Surgical BioFix - with REVITA - have been selected as one of just 10 finalists in the Diabetes Australia Grand Innovation Challenge 2026!

Around 50,000 Australians experience a diabetic foot ulcer each year, often with a devastating impact on their quality of life and a significant burden on our healthcare system. When standard wound care isn’t enough, clinicians and patients urgently need another option.

π—₯π—˜π—©π—œπ—§π—” is an innovative, Australian-produced placental membrane allograft designed to support healing when difficult-to-heal wounds have stalled. Early clinical results are encouraging, and the Grand Innovation Challenge could help us build the robust Australian clinical and health-economic evidence needed to bring this innovation to more patients.

Because better healing could mean fewer infections, fewer hospital stays, fewer amputations – and a profound difference for patients and their families.

We are thrilled to be among the finalists and look forward to presenting π—₯π—˜π—©π—œπ—§π—” at the Grand Final at the Diabetes Community Day at the IDF-WPR Congress 2026!
